2023 Tournament Rules

Laws of the Game: The Crossroads of the South tournament will be played by FIFA rules except as superseded by the rules contained herein. The build out line for 8-Under, 9-Under and 10-Under in both competitive and Rec-Plus 7v7 divisions will be utilized for the tournament. There will be no punting/drop kicking of the ball by the goalkeeper in the 8-Under,  9-Under and 10-Under 7v7 divisions. The ball may be thrown or placed on the ground and then kicked back into play, both will be considered indirect and must touch another player before entering the opponent’s goal. Punting will be allowed in all 9v9 divisions

All Under-11 and below age groups will be following the USSF mandate for no heading. For Under-12 age groups, heading will be allowed.
