Daniel Carney

Carney recently served as the lead assistant coach for the Missouri Baptist men's soccer program, where he played a vital role in training plan development, recruiting efforts, and game day functions.


In 2019, Carney joined Albion Hurricanes F.C. in Houston, Texas. During his tenure, he oversaw multiple girls' and boys' teams, including the '07 and '02 comp ECNL girls' teams, the '04 ECRL girls' team, and the central campus 2010 & 2011 boys' teams. Carney's coaching expertise and dedication to player development were pivotal to the success of these teams.


Carney began his coaching career as the junior varsity team coach at Grapevine Faith and Christian School in Texas. He also honed his coaching skills by guiding U10 boys at Solar Chelsea.


Seeking further growth, Carney pursued a graduate assistantship at Ottawa University in Kansas, where he obtained an MBA in Leadership Development. His time at Ottawa involved contributing to the men's program as a graduate assistant, with responsibilities ranging from recruiting and training to player development. Concurrently, Carney coached U7 boys and U11 girls for Sporting Kaw Valley in the Kansas City area.


Originally from Liverpool, England, Carney brings a diverse background to his role. After playing locally in Liverpool, he ventured to the United States to pursue his collegiate soccer career at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville.


His tenure at OKWU was marked by notable achievements, including four appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including an impressive journey to the elite 8.


His contributions were instrumental in securing two conference championships and two conference tournament championships for the Eagles. Carney graduated in 2015, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Recreational Leadership.
