Reni Lawrence

Reni Lawrence is currently in her sixth year with the Storm women's soccer program and was named Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) in January 2021. Prior to coaching at Lake Erie, Lawrence served as the assistant coach at Hiram College from 1999 to 2000 and from 2011 to 2015. At Hiram she assisted with on-field coaching, practice and game day preparation as well as off-season training. In addition to serving as an assistant coach at Hiram, Lawrence served in the same capacity at Case Western Reserve University from 2007 to 2011.


Lawrence has also served as both the men's and women's assistant coach, as well as the Senior Women's Administrator, at Myers University from 2006 to 2007. At Myers Lawrence planned and led the team in practice and drills and recruited in addition to coaching. Before serving at Myers, Lawrence was the women's soccer and women's tennis head coach at Ursuline College for six years. For both sports, Lawrence planned and led all practices, recruited and planned off-season development programs in addition to coaching.


In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Lawrence has served as the coach of several Cleveland based club teams, most recently the Cleveland Whitecaps.


Lawrence graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Communication in 1999 after playing four seasons of soccer. She helped the Eagles reach the NCAA Division-II Final Four her senior year. Lawrence is also a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor.

Maddy Ireton

In July 2021, Ireton was elevated to Assistant Women's Soccer Coach after working as the graduate assistant coach since August 2019. Ireton graduated with her MEd- Coaching from Lake Erie in May '21. Prior to Lake Erie College, Ireton was a standout goalkeeper at the College of Wooster for four years. She graduated with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Physical Education.


A captain her senior year, she won both the Clayton Geib Award for her key contribution athletically and demonstration of strong character and the Maria Sexton Award for her leadership and advocacy for Women’s Athletics. Playing through the season with a major hip injury, Ireton helped lead the team to win its first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship and first bid into the NCAA tournament since 1996.


Her junior year, Ireton started all 18 games in goal making 67 saves on the season. She was on the All-Tournament team after making 2 Penalty Kick saves in a shootout in the conference semifinal game and was voted conference player of the week (Sept. 11).


Originally from Dublin, Ohio, Ireton was a crucial member of both her high school and club teams. At Dublin Jerome High School, Ireton was All OCC her junior and senior year. As a captain, Ireton helped the team to four conference championships, three appearances in the district finals, and one regional finalist game. For Club Ohio, Ireton was a four-year starter and captain.


Ireton holds a United Soccer Coaches Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeping Diploma and USSF 4v4, 9v9, and 11v11 licenses.


Ireton is on the staff for ODP Ohio South and Cleveland Select Soccer Club.

Scott Wilson

Scott Wilson joins the Lake Erie staff after graduating from UW-Superior this past spring. While with the Yellowjackets he captained his team to 3 UMAC regular-season conference titles, 3 UMAC conference tournament titles, and made 2 NCAA tournament appearances. He was also named UMAC defensive player of the year in 2020 and was named UMAC all-conference 2nd team in 2019 and all-conference 1st team in 2020,21. He also played 3 seasons of semi-pro soccer at Duluth FC in the NPSL. Scott has also coached both in the US and internationally, coaching alongside clubs such as; Chelsea FC, AS Roma, and LA Galaxy.


Scott hails from Ladybank, Scotland, and will be completing his MBA while at Lake Erie.
