Dan Andrews

The 2020 season will be the sixth for Dan Andrews as the Foresters' head coach and his seventh on the coaching staff. It will also be his 13th year in the profession.


Lake Forest posted a 10-8-1 overall record in 2019 and tied for first place in the Midwest Conference standings with an 8-1-0 mark in league play. The team also qualified for the four-team MWC Tournament for the ninth consecutive season. Five Foresters earned All-MWC accolades, including first team honorees Gaston Aubert, Lucas Geib, and Marcos Hernandez. Aubert was also a Second Team All-North Region and Third Team Scholar All-America selection by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America), as well as a College Sports Information Directors of America Third Team Academic All-American®.


Under the direction of Andrews, the Foresters advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2015 and 2017 and claimed the program's league record 17th MWC title in 2016. The team is 56-37-4 overall and 36-10-0 in league play while outscoring opponents 226-135 during the last five seasons. Lake Forest's scoring average of 2.76 goals per game in 2015 is the second-highest mark in team history and the squad's goalkeepers have recorded 24 shutouts in 97 games since Andrews took over as head coach.

Tim Dean

The 2019 season will be the fourth for Tim Dean at Lake Forest College and 11th year of coaching overall. He assists the head coach in numerous aspects of the program, including recruiting.


The 2018 Foresters posted a 10-7-1 overall record and finished fourth in the Midwest Conference standings at 6-3-0 in the league. They also advanced to the four-team MWC Tournament for the thid time in as many seasons with Dean on staff. Four players on the team were named All-MWC, including First Team selection Lucas Geib, and a program record 17 players were named Academic All-MWC.


Lake Forest is 33-22-2 overall and 21-6-0 in conference play with a league title and an NCAA Tournament appearance in Dean's three seasons on staff. Individual players on the team have earned 14 All-MWC selections, a pair of All-North Region honors, and 41 Academic All-MWC accolades.


Dean has been the director of coaching for the Grove United Soccer Association since March of 2014. In addition to overseeing the staff throughout the club, he also coaches two of the age groups.


Dean has also been a coach in the Illinois Olympic Development Program since 2012 and currently works with the 2004 Boys team. He is also an instructor in Illinois Youth Soccer's Coach Education Program.


Other organizations Dean has been with since entering the profession in 2009 include Coerver Coaching IL, Warren United, and Skills First Soccer. He has also coached at several youth summer camps since 2002.


While in high school Dean was an all-conference, all-district, and all-area selection. He went on to play for the club teams at Grand Valley State University and Illinois State University.


Dean graduated from Illinois State in December of 2008 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.


He resides in Chicago.
