While at CBU (2016 – 2020), the team made it to the Gulf South Conference Quarterfinals 3 out of the 4 years Owers served as assistant coach.

The Southampton, England, native started her collegiate playing career at Tyler (Texas) Junior College, where she was an All-District and All-Region player for the NJCAA National Champions as a freshman. In 2021, the Memphis Americans, a professional indoor soccer franchise competing in the National Indoor Soccer League, signed Owers to the women’s team. Before moving the United States in 2011, she played for 3 clubs in England: Southampton FC, Havant & Waterlooville FC and Portsmouth Football Club.

Owers earned her Master of Business Administration in 2019 from CBU and also her Master of Education from CBU in 2020.
