Ted Krzywiecki

Ted Krzywiecki enters his second year with the Firestorm.


In 2021 the Firestorm finished the year Receiving Votes in the top 25 National Poll with a record of 11-4-1. The Firestorm generated their best start (9-0-1) in program history. After being picked to finish 7th in the GSAC poll, the Firestorm made a run to the Semi-Finals after a victory at OUAZ in the first round. ACU finished the season with the lowest goals allowed in program history and two GSAC all-conference selections.


Prior to ACU Krzywiecki served as Associate Head Coach with the Geneva College Men’s soccer program. In 2020-21 Geneva won the regular season PAC championship with a record of 8-1-1. Geneva finished at #12 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 National Ranking and 6 shutouts. 6 players were named to the PAC all-conference team and the Geneva coaching staff was awarded Great Lakes Regional Coaching Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches. In 2019 Geneva finished with a 10-9-1 record (6-2 in the PAC) and advanced to the PAC Championship game for the fourth time in five years. 1 player was named to the United Soccer Coaches Great Lakes All Region team and 5 players were named to the All-PAC team.


Krzywiecki had a 2-year stint as the First Assistant Coach at Elmhurst University in Illinois while also completing his master’s degree in Business Administration. At Elmhurst, Krzywiecki focused primarily on recruiting, training, and development of student-athletes in the highly competitive CCIW conference. Krzywiecki coached 1 All-Region and 2 All-CCIW players on a team that was regionally ranked as high as #5 in the Central Region in 2017. Krzywiecki worked with two players who continued to professional careers: Keegan Thompson with Chicago House AC and Matt McNamara with Delfine Del Este.


As a player Krzywiecki was a four-year starter for the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes from 2009-12. Krzywiecki played in all 85 games of his career helping Geneva post a 55-20-10 record. He scored 21 goals, including seven game-winning goals, while also totaling 17 assists. In their first year of NCAA eligibility Geneva had two straight PAC Conference final appearances and a run to the 2012 NCCAA national championship match in Kissimmee, FL. Krzywiecki received PAC All-Conference honors in 2011 and was named first-team all-conference selection in 2012


Krzywiecki played in the NPSL for 1 season with the BuxMont Torch in Perkasie, Pa. and competed in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in 2016 & 2017 with TDFC Oak Avalon in Pittsburgh, Pa.


Krzywiecki holds 11 coaching licenses including a USC Premier Diploma (Distinguished Pass), USSF National C License, La Liga Level 2 & Level 3 Formation Methodology Diploma, and USC Goalkeeping I & II. He has also spent time studying development methods at FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol in Spain.


At the youth level Krzywiecki has coached with Chicago Empire FC where he was involved as a Staff Coach, Assistant Boys Director, and Technical Advisor. He also served as in Western PA as a Staff Coach with FC Pittsburgh.


Krzywiecki lives near campus in Glendale with his wife Bethany and their daughter Holly.
