In 2012 Peace became a coeducational institution admitting men for the first time to its traditional day/residential program in its 155 year history. For its inaugural 2013 season, William Peace University will be competing as an independent team against other Division II and III schools and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) teams. WPU hopes to build the soccer program slowly but surely, giving the young players chances to build chemistry and confidence both on and off the soccer field and in the classroom. The Mens Soccer Program is looking to add 6-8 quality student athletes in all positions for the 2014 recruiting class.
In 2014, The WPU Soccer Team will play in the NCAA Division III USA South Athletic Conference, with schools from Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Like all Division III schools, we do not offer athletic scholarships, but WPU does have a very aggressive academic scholarship program that is weighted based on a student athlete's high school GPA and SAT/ACT score. In addition to academic scholarships, student athletes can apply for Financial Aid. |
